About Heritage Label

Heritage Label is an online marketplace dedicated to the buying and selling of pre-loved cultural, traditional, heritage, and occasion wear. Our platform exists to celebrate culture, craftsmanship, sustainability, and fashion with meaning by giving quality garments a second life.

By creating an account, listing items, purchasing products, or otherwise using Heritage Label, you agree to the following terms, policies, and conditions.

1. Account Registration

To buy or sell on Heritage Label, users must create an account using accurate, complete, and up-to-date information.

By registering, you confirm that:

• All information provided during registration is true and accurate.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password.
• You will not create multiple fraudulent accounts or impersonate another individual.

Heritage Label reserves the right to suspend or permanently remove accounts that violate these terms or provide false information.

2. Seller Listing Requirements

To list an item for sale, sellers must upload:

• Clear and accurate photographs of the garment.
• A truthful description of the item’s condition.
• The original purchase price (if known).
• The resale price you would like to receive.
• Relevant details including size, fabric, designer (if applicable), country of origin, alterations, and any signs of wear or defects.

By listing an item, you confirm that:

• You legally own the item.
• The item is authentic and not counterfeit.
• The item does not infringe on any intellectual property rights.
• The information provided is accurate and not misleading.

Heritage Label reserves the right to remove listings that are misleading, inappropriate, counterfeit, damaged beyond acceptable condition, or inconsistent with our platform standards.

3. Image Upload Policy

When uploading images, sellers agree that:

• All images must accurately represent the item being sold.
• Images must belong to you or be used with proper permission.
• Images may not contain offensive, explicit, abusive, discriminatory, or inappropriate content.

By uploading content, you grant Heritage Label permission to use listing images for marketing, promotional campaigns, social media, website features, and editorial purposes.

4. Pricing Policy

Sellers set their own resale prices.

However:

• Pricing must fairly reflect the item’s condition, quality, and market value.
• Pricing intended to mislead buyers may result in listing review or removal.
• Heritage Label deducts a 10% commission from completed sales to cover platform services and marketing costs.

5. Hygiene & Clothing Condition Requirements

To maintain quality, safety, and customer trust, all clothing listed and sold through Heritage Label must meet our hygiene and condition standards.

By listing an item, sellers confirm that every item is:

• Freshly washed, dry-cleaned, steamed, or professionally cleaned where appropriate.
• Free from visible stains, dirt, bodily fluids, or contamination.
• Free from mould, mildew, dampness, or excessive dust.
• Free from strong odours, including smoke, pet odours, or unpleasant storage smells.
• Free from insect damage, pest contamination, or moth damage.
• Stored in a clean, dry environment prior to shipping.
• Properly folded, packaged, and protected for transit.

Items failing to meet these hygiene standards may be removed from the platform. Repeated breaches may result in account suspension or permanent removal.

6. Prohibited Items

The following items may not be sold on Heritage Label:

• Counterfeit or replica goods.
• Stolen items.
• Clothing containing offensive, hateful, or discriminatory messaging.
• Unsanitary or heavily damaged garments.

Any prohibited listings may be removed immediately without notice.

7. Cultural Respect Policy

Heritage Label celebrates global cultures, traditions, and heritage fashion.

All users agree to:

• Represent cultural garments respectfully.
• Use accurate and respectful descriptions.
• Avoid offensive, exploitative, or culturally insensitive language.

Heritage Label reserves the right to remove content that disrespects cultures, communities, or traditions.

8. Payments & Seller Payouts

• Buyers must complete all payments through approved payment methods on the platform.
• Sellers will receive payouts according to Heritage Label’s payout schedule.
• Heritage Label reserves the right to delay or temporarily hold payouts in cases involving disputes, fraud prevention, policy violations, or account reviews.

9. Shipping & Delivery Disclaimer

Heritage Label acts solely as a marketplace platform between buyers and sellers.

By using our platform, users acknowledge that:

• Sellers are fully responsible for packaging, dispatching, and shipping sold items securely.
• Buyers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information.

Once an item has been shipped, Heritage Label is not liable for:

• Lost packages.
• Damaged packages.
• Delayed deliveries.
• Failed delivery attempts.
• Incorrect delivery addresses.
• Theft after delivery.
• Customs delays or import charges.
• Courier or postal service errors.

Any shipping-related disputes should be addressed directly with the courier service and between the buyer and seller where appropriate.

Heritage Label accepts no responsibility for financial losses, damaged goods, or undelivered packages caused by third-party delivery providers.

10. Buyer Protection & Purchases

Buyers acknowledge that:

• All items sold on Heritage Label are pre-loved and may show minor signs of wear.
• Product descriptions and images should be reviewed carefully before purchase.
• Buyers should ask any questions before completing a purchase.

If an item arrives significantly different from its listing description, buyers may submit a dispute within the designated claim period.

11. Returns, Refunds & Disputes

Refunds or returns may be considered only in circumstances such as:

• The wrong item was sent.
• The item was significantly misrepresented.
• The item arrives with undisclosed major damage.

Claims must be submitted within the stated dispute period and supported with photographic evidence.

Heritage Label reserves the right to make the final decision on platform disputes.

12. User Conduct

Users may not:

• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
• Commit fraud or use unauthorised payment methods.
• Manipulate listings, reviews, or transactions.
• Attempt to complete transactions outside the Heritage Label platform.

Violations may result in warnings, suspension, or permanent removal.

13. Limitation of Liability

Heritage Label provides a marketplace platform only and is not the owner, manufacturer, or direct seller of listed items.

Heritage Label is not liable for:

• Seller misrepresentation.
• Item authenticity disputes.
• Shipping or courier issues.
• Payment provider errors.
• Buyer or seller misconduct.
• Financial losses arising from user-to-user transactions.

Use of the platform is at your own risk.
